About
In my art, the body is a space of struggle and transformation. I explore violence—political, social, and religious—revealing how structures of power and discourses seek to shape and subjugate the body. In my works, the body is fragmented and dispersed, its multiplicity reminiscent of an internal hum, a swarm of unclear identities. In the spirit of Mallarmé's poetry, where the divine is dispersed throughout the text, the multiplicity of corporeality blurs and eludes any attempts to capture it in language and symbols.
My artistic method is formed at the intersection of personal experience and philosophical reflection. Drawing on my own reflections on identity and social isolation, I turn to Deleuze's philosophy, particularly the themes of the machinery of desire and social and political processes.
In the spatial design of my works, I follow the spirit of Francis Bacon: I create a closed arena where the drama of corporeality unfolds. Among the rebar, bars and instruments of violence, formless flesh and scattered fragments of matter become expressions of inner experience.
About the Project:
The project explores the body as a space of memory, experience, and social processes. The artists address themes of trauma, gender, neurodivergence, politics, and identity, viewing the body as a unique map preserving traces of personal and collective experiences.
The exhibition brings together painting, graphics, video art, photography, ceramics, objects, and digital media. Many works are based on research-based artistic practices and offer an understanding of the body as both a personal and political phenomenon in contemporary culture. The exhibition features 35 artists.
The project was initiated by ANV Biennale, a platform supporting artists with autism and other forms of neurodivergence. The exhibition grew out of an exploration of corporeality in the works of neurodivergent artists, but has gradually expanded to include a wider range of themes, artistic approaches, and perspectives.
