House, Well, Pyramid was a horizontal laboratory in Samara built around political imagination, identity fluidity, gender, interventions, transformations, and becoming. The project treated the ‘house’, ‘well’, and ‘pyramid’ as speculative models for thinking through social forms and gender spectra.
The laboratory worked through four interconnected foundations — identity, history, politics, and art — with a workbook, weekly theory sessions, and collective discussion. It developed as a curator-led structure for making and thinking together under unfree conditions.
Ir:c Solza curated the laboratory. Ilya Mikheev and Artem Shalamov participated as facilitators and co-curators.
The House, Well, Pyramid laboratory took place in Samara in 2025. Over several months, 12 artists read texts together, discussed them, and developed their own works.
The process combined a shared workbook, weekly theoretical reading, facilitated discussion, and artistic production. Materials from the laboratory include a workbook for self-reflection and artistic practice, alongside translated theoretical texts.
The laboratory moved through identity, archive, politics, and collectivity, while remaining a horizontal curatorial structure for thinking and making together.
